Silvia

Name and Surname: Silvia Valoti, known as Silvia. Where? At her RistoFante, first in Ponteranica (1992) then in Alzano (1999). What? Hospitality and a big smile... innate. Before being an entrepreneur? She was born 16th March 1966, then at the age of 15 (during the hotel school) she started the training in the famous "Caffe del Tasso" in the "Città Alta" Bergamo as a waitress, moving to Smeralda Coast and to London. Taken the hotel school certificate she became sommelier, and in the while she had been working in few restaurants in Bergamo: 3 years at “Baio” in Gorle, with patron Stefano Cardaci, 2 years at "Ristorante del Golf Club" in Bergamo, 1 year at "Villa Greta" in Mozzo (BG), 1 year at "Frosio" in Almè (BG) with Patron Paolo Frosio... where she met... Titta.
On 30 May 1992 (2 and half months after her 26th birthday), she started to run her own business at RistoFante, together with Titta: mission accomplished, even if the way to serve it at the table will become crucial. Titta cooks all very well, she cares about the service. As soon as they started the experience at RistoFante, during 1994, JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe) awarded Titta’s cuisine; Silvia has the task to serve the amazing food. 25 years well spent, therefore, and, above all, continuously marked by the search for improvement to propose the best at the guest, (even if since September 2003 she gives her attentions also to her child), because the guest should feel like at home and their expectations cannot be disappointed.

Titta

Name and surname: Giambattista Manzini, knowns as Titta. Where? At his RistoFante, first in Ponteranica (1992) then in Alzano (1999). What? High quality cuisine, because the ingredients are to be quality and, above all, ...fresh every day. Before being an entrepreneur? He was born in Lecco on 18 May 1965 then at the age of 16 (during the hotel school) he was already working at "Griso" in Malgrate, where he had been for 6 years. After this experience, he had been working in few restaurants: 2 years with Ezio Santin at “Antica Osteria del Ponte” in Cassinetta Lugagnano (MI); 2 years with Patron Mauro Piscini at "Miramonti l’Altro" in Concesio (BS) and then other 2 years with Patron Paolo Frosio at “Frosio” in Almè (BG).
On 30 May 1992 (two weeks after his 27th birthday), he started to run his own business at RistoFante, together with Silvia: mission accomplished, even if the way to serve it at the table will become crucial. Titta cooks all very well, she cares about the service. As soon as they started the experience at RistoFante, during 1994, JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe) awarded Titta’s cuisine. 25 years well spent, therefore, and, above all, continuously marked by the continuous search for the best… waking up early every morning in order to choose the best fresh ingredients... Spending the entire day in the kitchen, in his "own little world"... to improve day by day... Travelling around Europe to "catch" the secrets from the most famous restaurateurs... based on the firm idea to meet all the expectations of all RistoFante’s guests.
